The raid 2 full movie5/25/2023 As Rama gets deeper undercover, he finds himself in the middle of an escalating gang war between the criminal empires of Bangun and Goto (Kenichi Endo), the head of the local Japanese crime syndicate - all orchestrated by nefarious newcomer Bejo (Alex Abbad), who may or may not have made things personal with our reluctant hero. To protect his family from potentially lethal reprisals, he reluctantly agrees to go undercover in prison to inveigle himself on Uco (Arifin Putra), volatile, ambitious son of gang boss Bangun (Tio Pakusodewo). Set a mere two hours after the incendiary events of the first film, The Raid 2: Berandal (which means ‘A Shotgun Full of Awesome’, in its native Indonesian - or possibly ‘Thug’ depending on how linguistically accurate you wish to be), we find an exhausted, bloodied Rama (Iko Uwais), one of only three SWAT survivors of the clusterfuck-style operation of the first film, unwillingly recruited by an Anti-Corruption task force to infiltrate a powerful criminal gang in order to root out police corruption. Indonesia’s national proverb is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (‘Many, yet one’) which refers primarily to the supposed unity inherent in the incredibly culturally diverse population of the world’s largest archipelago, but it could also pertain to Iko Uwais’s almost supernatural ability to transform himself into a relentless one man army in Gareth Evans’s follow-up to his seminal actioner The Raid: Redemption. The Raid 2: Berandal was finally released in the UK on April 11th, but good things come to those who wait.
